Funding

• May not exceed 75% of eligible costs up to $1000.00
• Eligible costs include speaker fees, speaker transportation and speaker accommodation (i.e. costs associated with the speaker attending the event)
• The financial support will be payable directly to the organization upon submission of corresponding receipts:
  • Copy of speaker’s fee invoice
  • Copy of speaker’s expenses
• Receipts must be submitted within 30 days of the event date
• Only one speaker per organization per year will be funded

Eligibility for Funding

• Ontario residents only - the event must also take place in Ontario
• The speaker must be chosen from our list of speakers
• Events must be targeted at an agricultural, agri-food or rural audience
• Applicants can be not-for-profit organizations, associations, boards, cooperatives, partnerships, community groups, etc.
• Only one speaker per organization per year
• The applicant must demonstrate the public benefit of the speaker’s message
• Priority will be given to applicants with events that will have wide community outreach
• Applications must be received at least two weeks prior to the event
